The Goddard Gun Club was formed
at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland in 1967 to
provide an organization for NASA employees and contractors who enjoy
firearms. In 1973 the Club was successful in establishing a
firing range on the east side of the GSFC campus. Although the
range was closed by Center Management in 2001, the Club continues to promote a variety
of activities centered around the safe and legal use of firearms.

Club Federal Firearms
License (FFL) Status
In October 2006, GSFC denied
the club permission to hold a Federal Firearms License (FFL).
This means
the Club no longer has an FFL.
The Club has made arrangements
with local Firearms stores to handle legal purchases of firearms and
firearms related materials requiring an FFL. Additional information will be
posted here soon detailing the process.
GGC On-Site Range
In May 2008 the Club's on-site range at GSFC
was demolished as part of the reconstruction effort on the east campus at
GSFC. The range was originally shutdown by the then GSFC
Center Director in the spring of 2001.
