▫ New AGC badges are available from
John Habert, the Club AGC Rep. Cost is $150/year. AGC does offer a one-time 1/2 year
membership for those joining after 1 July.
▫ Payments (checks) should be given to the Club
Treasurer,
John Zuby. The Treasurer will forward a GGC Club check to
the AGC Rep who will obtain your AGC range badge and coordinate with you for
your range walk-thru.
▫ The GGC is a participating member of AGC. By being a member of GGC you can then join the AGC.
As an AGC badge holder you must retain your GGC membership to remain
eligible for AGC membership.
▫ Check the AGC web site at
http://www.associatedgunclubs.org/ for more info, especially the AGC
rules for guests.
▫ The
AGC Range is located at 11518 Marriottsville Rd, Marriottsville, MD
21104-1220. Click here for a map.
▫ John Habert is also looking for AGC/GGC Club members to help run the AGC Trap Range on
various Weds and Sundays. It's fairly easy and you don't have to have
much experience to help. Besides getting to learn about the running of
the range you will also receive a monetary credit of just under $30/per
range support day. This can be applied to part or all of your annual
AGC membership dues. This is a great way for someone to pay for the
AGC badge without any annual dues. See John for details.
▫ Obtaining AGC Badges
Through the Club
| |
AGC
has changed the way it issues badges.
To get AGC
membership/access you will need a current Goddard Gun Club
membership card. When you join the club you will receive
your membership card at that time.
The easiest
way to get your membership renewed and get your membership card is
to submit your application and dues at a Club meeting. Otherwise,
you can send it via mail (with payment) to the on-center address
indicated on the membership form.
Once you have your current GGC Club Card you can go to the range any
time and have the Range Safety Officer issues your AGC badge.
Be aware that
new Club/AGC members will need to view the AGC orientation video and
have a range walk thru at the time they receive their badge so plan
time accordingly. Please contact John Habert (Club AGC Rep) at
agcrep@goddardgun.org to coordinate this.
Note: You must
remain a member of this Club or another AGC club throughout the year
to retain your AGC badge. If you leave NASA (other than retirement)
and/or don’t retain membership in GGC or in one of the AGC Clubs,
you no longer qualify to hold an AGC badge. |
